A fascinating glimpse at a series of British silent comedies from the British Film Institute depicting attitudes towards the suffragette movement and revealing how suffragettes were portrayed in film comedy in the early part of the twentieth century.

Andrew Kelly (Festival Of Ideas) chairs a panel discussion with award-winning journalist Samira Ahmed (Radio 4, Front Row) and stand-up comedian Lucy Porter.

With live piano accompaniment from John Sweeney.
