FOE 2019 Square Social Care
Fri 22 November 2019,
18:30-19:30

How to pay for social care in an ageing population is a fraught economic and political challenge, one governments have repeatedly shied away from tackling. In a society where wealth and political power lie in the hands of the ageing baby boomers but the future depends on the work and taxes of younger generations, what is the answer to the conundrum?

With Joan Costa Font (London School of Economics), Polly Simpson (Institute for Fiscal Studies), Charles Tallack (Health Foundation) and chair, David Brindle (The Guardian).

Bristol Festival of Economics is presented in association with

Triodos Bank
