Night of Ideas is a worldwide event launched by the French Institute. For its fourth year, the theme is ‘Alive!’. What does being alive mean today? At a time when nature is threatened and technology seems all powerful, this event examines the borders of our humanity and rethinks what was once taken for granted. How do we build relationships with robot in our everyday lives? What are the ethical consequences of such relationships and how do they contribute to redefine what it means to be alive?

19:00 Joseph Lanoux: Intelligence Artificielle (in French)

20:00 Alan Winfield: Ethics and Robotics (in English)

The first part of this event will be in French and the second part will be in English. You are welcome to both or either.
