Jo Michell (Associate Professor in Economics at UWE Bristol) leads an informal session on the topic of the living wage and the potential impact on the UK economy. What are the economic arguments for and against the different models? This is a chance to learn more and ask questions in a relaxed setting.

Events start punctually and, out of consideration to other audience members and speakers, our policy is not to admit latecomers. Due to the high number of no-shows at free events, we will admit anyone waiting without a ticket into any empty seats FIVE minutes before the start.

The Festival of Ideas endeavours to hold its events in venues that are accessible to all. There is a fully accessible on-site car park and there are lifts to the event space. The venue has a hearing loop system. There are toilets for public use. If you have specific access concerns, it is advisable to contact the venue direct.
