Crowdcast

This is a Festival of Ideas Online event and will take place on our Crowdcast platform. You can find out more about how this works in our blog.

This is a Pay What You Can event. When booking your ticket, you will be invited to contribute a sum of your choice between £0-£6. We’re committed to keeping ticket prices for our online events – like our live ones – as low as possible to allow maximum participation. For selected online events we are introducing a pay what you can option. Please do consider contributing where possible. All the funding raised goes to supporting writers, artists and commentators in our overall programme.

Iain Dale examines the state of public discourse in Britain and the world today. He examines why we’ve all become so intolerant, and explains why it doesn’t have to be this way. Using experiences from his career in politics and the media, he suggests how we can emerge from tribalism and division and become more respectful to each other and those who govern us.

Iain Dale is in conversation with Margaret Heffernan.

Why Can’t We All Just Get Along…is published by HarperCollins. Buy a copy from our bookseller partner Waterstones.
