Girl, Woman, Other and Me: A Live Podcast Recording

Bernardine Evaristo
Tue 10 March 2020,

Author, professor and literary activist Bernardine Evaristo, who made history in 2019 as the first Black British woman to win the Booker Prize for Girl, Woman, Other, will join Joy Francis, founder of Words of Colour Productions, for a live podcast recording at Waterstones Bristol.

They will discuss Girl, Woman, Other, which masterfully weaves a story featuring 12 characters of colour on their personal journeys through this country and the last 100 years; Bernardine’s career; the role of visualisation and affirmations in her success; how she plans to top her historic win; and her specially curated book selection, to be featured in Waterstones for International Women’s Month 2020.

As well as the live podcast, Bernardine will take part in an audience Q&A and sign copies of the new paperback version of Girl, Woman, Other, which will be on sale.

Please note: Photography and/or filming will take place at the event.
