We spend years in school learning facts and figures but the one thing we’re never taught is how to live a fulfilled life. That’s why writer and philosopher Alain de Botton founded The School of Life. The organisation has one simple aim: to equip people with the tools to survive and thrive in the modern world. And the most important of these tools is emotional intelligence: how do you understand yourself? How can you become more effective at work? What do you need to grow more serene and resilient? In this event, de Botton offers a crash course in emotional maturity. With practical advice and his trademark wit, he shows us a path to the better lives we all want and deserve.
