Jon Ronson
Tales of Everyday Craziness
14 May 08
Arnolfini, Bristol

Award-winning journalist, writer and documentary film maker, Jon Ronson has long explored the craziness of everyday life as well as the military, America, Christmas and much else. Our everyday lives are determined by the craziest thoughts; and we inevitably spend too much time getting worked up by complete nonsense. There are clever people worldwide who are employed to spot, nurture and exploit the irrationalities of those among us who can barely cope as it is. Nobody more than Jon Ronson is aware and capable of making us laugh about our obsessions and neuroses.

Jon Ronson is an acclaimed writer and documentary film maker. His books Them: Adventures With Extremists and The Men Who Stare At Goats are both bestsellers. Picador has recently published his latest collection of Guardian column features, What I Do: More True Tales of Everyday Craziness. Jon writes and presents the Sony nominated Radio 4 series, Jon Ronson On... and his work regularly appears in the Guardian and on Channel 4. His documentaries include The Secret Rulers of the World and - most recently - Reverend Death.
