Young women from across the city are invited to an interactive panel discussion and networking event to debate how different cities would be if women built them. The event – which features speakers including Cllr Nicola Beech (Bristol City Council), Sian Norris (Bristol Women’s Literature Festival, pictured), Louise Ponting (EY UK), Christine Skaar (Women in Property SW) and George Taylor (Arup) – will develop and share ideas which will be fed into the festival as a whole, as well as the panel ‘If Women Built Cities‘ on Thursday 19 October.

Young illustrator Jasmine Thompson will capture the themes of the evening with a live sketch.

How to Book/

Online booking is via Eventbrite and managed by Festival of Ideas. Please use the contact function in Eventbrite or get in touch with any online booking queries. Please note: booking opens Monday 11 September 2017.

Events start punctually and, out of consideration to other audience members and speakers, our policy is not to admit latecomers. Please arrive in plenty of time to take your seat as we will be admitting anyone waiting without a ticket into empty seats five minutes before start.

We endeavour to hold events in venues that are accessible to all. Watershed’s cinemas and event spaces are all located on the first floor which is accessible via the lift located in the main entrance foyer at Box Office. Once on the first floor there is level access to all areas. The venue has a hearing loop system. If you have specific access concerns it is advisable to contact the venue direct. Wheelchair users and visitors who require an assistant may bring a companion free of charge. Please contact Watershed Box Office (details above) to arrange this.

We sometimes film and photograph events. Please let us know if you do not wish to be filmed or photographed.
