The former BBC Economics Editor Stephanie Flanders will be head of Bloomberg Economics from October 2017, having served as Chief Market Strategist for Europe for JPMorgan Asset Management since 2013. She has also recently chaired the Inclusive Growth Commission for the Royal Society of Arts. In this talk she will use her unrivalled experience in government, journalism and the world of finance to consider the state of the UK and global economy and the recipe for more inclusive growth.

How to Book/

Online booking is via Eventbrite and managed by Festival of Ideas. Please use the contact function in Eventbrite or get in touch with any online booking queries. Tickets can also be purchased in person or over the phone at the venue: At-Bristol, Anchor Road, Bristol BS1 5DB, Tel: 0117 915 1000.

Please note that you will be asked of proof for your eligibility for a concession ticket. Concessions apply to Full Time Students, Job Seekers Allowance, Incapacity Benefit claimants, over 60s and disabled people. Staff, students or members at the following organisation: Arts Council England, Bristol City Council, Business West, University of Bristol and UWE can also purchase concession tickets. Please note that no refunds/exchanges are possible for tickets already purchased at the higher price.

Events start punctually and, out of consideration to other audience members and speakers, our policy is not to admit or issue refunds to latecomers. Please allow enough time to collect your ticket/s from the relevant box office (if these haven’t already been sent to you), and make sure to arrive before the advertised start time to take your seat/s. Refunds are only available if an event is cancelled.

The Festival of Ideas endeavours to hold its events in venues that are accessible to all. There are lifts to the event space and the venue has a hearing loop system. There are toilets for public use. If you have specific access concerns, it is advisable to contact the venue direct.

Wheelchair users and visitors who require an assistant may bring a companion free of charge. To book a free companion ticket please get in touch.
