Madeline Miller, the Orange prize-winning, international bestselling author of The Song of Achilles, comes to Bristol to discuss Circe, her new novel inspired by Homer’s Odyssey. Circe is the powerful story of the mythological figure, the first witch of western literature, daughter of the sun god Helios and mistress to Odysseus; she’s an inspiration for every modern day woman. Circe is an intoxicating tale of gods and heroes, magic and monsters, survival and transformation.
