A prize of £200 is to be awarded by the Festival of Ideas for the design of one of the Frankenstein in Bristol posters created by BA (Hons) Illustration students at UWE. The winning design is Fauvist Frank by Tim Shute.
Senior Lecturer Jonathan Ward said today:
UWE and the Illustration Programme appreciate and value the creative relationship with Festival of Ideas. The opportunity for students to engage with live briefs and have their work judged by an independent panel is a valuable litmus test for their future careers in the Creative Industries. The Frankenstein in Bristol poster resulted in a wide range of high-quality responses that reflect the personal visual voices of the students. Tim is a worthy winner with his strikingly fauvist approach and will hopefully prove a launching pad for his professional practice.
