Bristol Cultural Development Partnership (BCDP – Bristol City Council and Business West – with investment from Arts Council England) is seeking a Project Manager – for three years initially – to work on all projects and especially the Festival of Ideas.
The Project Manager will play a critical role in the ongoing success of the festival, supporting the Director (Andrew Kelly) in all aspects of the strategic and operational management of BCDP. The postholder will play an active and collaborative role in developing and delivering the Director’s vision for the organisation and the festival – contributing ideas and opinions, evaluating ideas from the Director and others, and providing constructive feedback. The Project Manager will work closely with the Director to support and lead projects towards delivering the organisation’s vision, ensuring that any risks are identified and mitigated appropriately.
The Project Manager will have overall day-to-day responsibility for the financial and operational management of the Festival of Ideas, and also lead on delivering an outstanding customer experience for all audience members, liaising with venue Box Office, Marketing and Front of House teams in participating venues.
This is a demanding, creative and entrepreneurial post, and requires proven experience across all aspects of the role. The role will require analytical and planning skills, the ability to lead and motivate partners and a high degree of determination, pragmatism and professionalism.
Salary: Circa £30,000pa + up to 8% pension, and 25 days annual leave (plus public holidays)
