8 May 09, 18.00-19.00 (PAST EVENT)
Arnolfini, Bristol (see map)

Event

Steve Bell’s If cartoons in the Guardian over 27 years have provided a daily delight attacking the rich and powerful, politicians of all sides, and questioning the motives of American Presidents. In this special event, he provides a fully illustrated presentation on Margaret Thatcher; from her remarkable rise to her demise. Featuring long-forgotten cabinet ministers, red-nosed newspaper editors, a man in underpants, the Falklands war, and an array of penguins, Bell tells the story of this remarkable period in a brilliant hour of fun.
